Puerto Escondido has two seasons: A Dry Season and a Green Season. The Dry Season runs from November though Mid May and the Green Season traditionally runs from Mid-May through October (although, in recent years it has run from late June through October). During the Dry Season, rain is extremely rare and sunshine is at a maximum. During the Green Season, it should be noted that it doesn't rain all the time, just that it Could rain. Remember, Puerto Escondido gets 360 days of Sunshine a year. Surfing is best during the Green Season. The wettest month is September.* Please Note: Our rates are for up to 5 people. Each Extra Person (6-8) is $10 per day, $50 per week, or $100 per month, whichever applies. Please inquire for long term rental rates and last minute reservations.

Bahia Angelito from the deck of our pool. On the far right of the picture
you can see a little sliver of sand. That is the far edge of Playa Manzanillo,
which is the best beach in Puerto Escondido for swimming, snorkeling, &
dining. It is a short 3 minute walk from our house to Playa Manzanillo.

Our keyless entry system is just one way we try to make your vacation experience easy and safe. There are no keys to lose.
There are no keys to pick up from the property manager.
There are no keys to return at the end of your vacation.
Because each reservation has a unique code that begins at the start of your vacation and expires at your departure, the villa is always secure.
The cactus next to our small oceanfront palapa is about 175 years old. The grandaddy, however, is behind the villa. That cactus is about 400 years old.
Something is always blooming at our villa. That is the benefit of the world's best climate.

It takes three photographs to stitch together our view, as in this early morning view taken from our palapa. The perspective is all wrong here, as the view is convex and three dimensional instead of flat. From our vantage on the second story palapa, the horizon is 20 kilometers distant (12.5 miles). We calculate this to mean our view contains about 402 square kilometers of crystal clear ocean - where up to 10,000 dolphins have been viewed traveling together at one time. The winter season brings migrating whales. Sport fish such as Marlin, Sailfish, Dorado, Jacks, Tuna and Rooster fish can be found during most of the year.
Two minutes stroll from our villa will bring you to Playa Manzanillo. Walk right into the air-tempurature ocean to snorkle right from the beach, play in the gentle waves (Playa Manzanillo is safe for children to swim, as it is protected from the ocean swell) or catch a boat ride for fishing, sight-seeing, or to get to another beach. Stay awhile and have drinks or lunch. All restaurants feature fresh seafood and cold drinks. Our recommended restaurant in this photo is Palapa de Carasco, run by Pablo and his wife Doris (Right before you get to the boat in this photo). Have the fillet, ceveche, or a whole red snapper (they are all fresh and delicious). For a naughty treat, try the french fries (papas de franscesa). Pablo also makes a mean margarita — or limonada con agua mineral for the kids. This photo was taken before full sunrise, as the cushions aren't even on the beach chairs yet. I like to have a swim with mask and fins before drinking some of the world's best coffee and enjoying watching the world wake up from the view provided by our roof-top palapa.
